The chronicles of my family contain many exciting stories. Included among my ancestors are French Canadian voyageurs and descendents of Vikings. However, these people all have one thing in common - a love of the land and the ability to adapt. They were all hard-working men and women with vision - how else could they have conceived of the long journey to a new world, leaving their parents, brothers and sisters far behind in the "Old Country".
This website is dedicated to all my ancestors who, through their courage and foresight, struck out to achieve new lives and futures for their children and in the process created the family traditions and values we treasure today.
This project is a continual work-in-progress. I will post new information as soon as possible to keep this website as current and up-to-date as I can.
I've met many new relatives who have become good friends over the life of this project, and I continue to meet more people everyday. The wonderful thing about cyberspace is that you meet people from all over the world without leaving your livingroom. If anybody out there wishes to get in touch with me at pat.bachand@sproule.com. I would be glad to hear from you. Perhaps we can share information.
Before you begin your journey through these pages, please download the free Adobe Reader:
Many of the pages on this site are prepared in Adobe PDF Format, and you will need the free reader to read them.
Click on the names above, and you will be taken to each family and their information. The Photos section contains many photos of the family, which I have identified where I could. Many of these people are unidentified so if anybody out there recognizes these people, please let me know.
